Mauro Davoli
Mauro Davoli was born in Fornovo Taro (Parma) in 1955. He began taking photographs during his studies of Architecture at the "Facoltà di Ingegneria" of the Bologna University.
In 1981 he entirely dedicated himself to the photography.
He kept his contacts with the design, art and architecture world working for long with the study of design "Alchimia" in Milan and with many other magazines such as "Decoration Internationale", "Domus", "Casa Vogue, " Materia", "AD", "FMR", "Area","Ottagono","Case Country","AION","Casabella"...
He realised reportages in Italy and Europe taking images of creations of many architects as Paolo Portoghesi, Aldo Rossi, Sergio Cappelli, Gae Aulenti,Paolo Zermani, Pier Carlo Bontempi,Robert Krier, Gian Carlo De Carlo, Gabetti e Isola, Oswald Mathias Ungers, Andrea Branzi,Patrick Mellett,Normann Foster...
He has worked with many advertising studios creating both still-life pictures and advertising images for Aperol Limonta moquette, Fiorucci,Pizzarotti, Parmalat,Coopsette, Sabatini Snaidero, Alitalia...
He also published monographies books dedicated to different artists and architects with many publishing companies (Electa, Allemandi,Fabbri Editori, Franco Maria Ricci...)
He realized black and white images for a serie of tourist guides about castles of tht province of Parma. He made personal researches always linked to architecture and art in general and took part in different exibitions. The cover of number 152 ( 116 english version) of FMR is dedicated to Mauro Davoli and inside there is a complete work concerning his research about "Natura Morta".
