Gianni Cestari

was born in Bondeno, Ferrara (Italy). He has been studying with Tassini and Goberti, working mainly on acrylic paintings about the theme of water, using informal brushstrokes altogether with his hyperrealist and surreal aspects. Trying to grasp the restlessness of shapes, lights and shades reflecting themselves on the water. Recently, his pictorial ideas have been based mostly on the imaginative plot of picture and colour, between wide informal breath and thin figurative quotations.

He has several personal exhibitions in private and public galleries, in Italy and abroad.

He has created moreover accomplished books illustrations.
